project 2 : wellness centre PLUS
This is the final project of ADIV, we are required to design a Wellness Center PLUS within the Kepong Botanical Gardens, bordering the suburban neighbourhood of Taman Ehsan. We are required to provide full design proposals incorporating findings from precedent studies and site analysis. We will generate narratives that respond to the environment and community as user groups within the given context and explore the environmental poetics of building enclosure’s design solutions that reduce environmental impact by utilizing various complex typologies of spatial organisations and a variety of passive strategies for sustainable design.

reflection
In Studio IV, I've gained much more knowledge and experience throughout the module. We are required to design a more detailed and more complete project compared to the last three studios. It was also our first time conducting the module fully face to face, which brings us closer to our tutor and friends. I am still not getting used to face-to-face classes, as I started my degree life online. One of the most challenging things that I faced is face to face presentations. I am used to online presentations as I can just show my presentation slides and "read" my scripts behind the camera. Overall, I am happy with the outcome of my final project. I would like to thank my tutor, Mr Hazazi, as he is very supportive and he provide us with many useful suggestions which helps me a lot in my project.
Throughout the module, the TGC that I've gained is DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE as I am able to put theories into practice and understand ethical issues in the context of the field of study. I am also able to complete my work on time and I think I am improving my time management skills throughout the semester.
The other TGC that I've gained is THINKING & PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS as I can think critically and creatively and also define and analyse problems to arrive at effective solutions. I can also design and create architectural spaces with consideration of environmental poetics in relation to the basic natural context and existing built context.
